He continued, “While I was coaching her for 2-3 years when she was still in middle school, I knew she was different from the moment I saw the expressions in her eyes. She was very aware of the goals that she had to achieve and she kept her focus in achieving her goals.”
On September 16th, Taeyeon appeared on SBS’s “Inkigayo” to sing “Closer”, her latest OST song. Dressed in a white and pink outfit, Taeyeon delivered a beautiful performance for an audience filled with fans waving pink balloons and for viewers watching on TV.

Taeyeon then revealed the condition of her injured toe nail, “Because of the injury to my toe nail, everyone has been very worried, right? Popular Korean drama “Athena” had a live event that took place on January 7th at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Among those who attended the event include “Athena” cast members Cha Seungwon, Sooae, and Choi Siwon. K-pop artists with connections to the drama were also present, such as Super Junior, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and SHINee (minus Onew who was absent due to a fever). 30,000 people came to this event, showing their support and enthusiasm for both performances, one occurring during the day and the other in the evening.
During the event’s press conference, Taeyeon shared her thoughts on being at the Saitama Super Arena for the first time without her fellow Girls’ Generation members. ”Girls’ Generation has performed at Saitama Super Arena before, so it is a place that holds a lot memories for us,” said Taeyeon, who looked a little uneasy being alone on stage. ”Being on such a spacious stage by myself feels a little bit lonely.”

On November 15th, part 2 of ‘Strong Heart’s Talk Selection Contest’ was aired. Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, Tiffany, Taeyeon and Yuri appeared as guests and they showed off their talking skills once again.
As the topic shifted to blood types, Yoona talked about her losing temper at a stalker outside their dorm, revealing her hot temper as a B-type person.
After touching on the previously discussed ‘Jessica’s stalker incident’, Yoona continued, “I’ve also met the man who peeped around in front of our dorm. As I saw him going up through the staircase while I took the lift, I lost my temper immediately, shut the door of our dorm and kept staring at the direction of the staircase.”
Finally, Yoona witnessed the man peeking silently and shouted at him before signaling for the man to go to her. Yoona continued explaining, “Because I suddenly lost my temper, I asked the man if he lived here, then told him that he should not be doing that (trespassing).”
Yoona then said, “However, after knowing more, he turned out to be a very nice fan of us so I wasn’t angry anymore.”
Besides that, Yoona also told the story of her becoming ‘Torn Yoona’.
Yoona said, “We had special stages during the Japan SMTown concert a few months ago. There was a dance step where I was required to collapse onto the floor with hands stretched and stand up again. The moment I sat down, there was a weird sound. Although I felt something weird, I could not check anything. So I started dancing cautiously.”
Yoona continued, “I was afraid that photos were taken, so I went to search for them. Fortunately, no photo caught the moment. I’m worried that as I said this, people who have the photos will upload it. I sincerely hope that people will not do it.”
Funnily, after hearing Yoona’s story, Yuri confessed that she also danced cautiously as she thought the same would happen to hers, making the studio burst into laughter.
Taeyeon also confessed, “I once had my stage costume torn at the side and the clothes stuck to the body as I perspired a lot. As I covered the area with my hand and continued singing, I couldn’t bear with it and said ‘Help me!’ into the mic.”

Besides taking the opportunity to introduce their new album ‘The Boys’, the members also talked about their recent lives, as well as the controversy about their so-called ‘attitude problems’ during an interview in New York.
In response to the controversy, Taeyeon said, “They are one-sided negative reports” while Tiffany explained, “We were watching our MV together in the studio but it was longer than expected. Some members had flu and weren’t able to adapt to the time differences so we looked that way.”
Jessica then added, “We will show enjoyable expressions when we watch MVs in the future,” making the studio break out into laughter.
