SM Entertainment released a statement on November 1st detailing what exactly happened, stating “The program MC wanted to talk while watching the Girls’ Generation music video being shown on the low monitor. Taeyeon was shown on screen naturally resting her chin on her hand while watching the monitor” and that “We hope there are no other misunderstandings.”
Also, “That day, Taeyeon and Yoona, as well as the other members’ conditions weren’t very good, but they appeared on the show of their own volition and, along with the fan meeting schedule afterward, did their best to digest their schedule.”

The girls also revealed that out of the 9 members, Sunny and Tiffany had the highest tolerance level for alcohol. They were asked who drinks the best among them and everyone one point out Tiffany. While Seohyun admitted that she had recently started drinking to better her health and also so that she would be more comfortable in social situations. When asked about their dating status, the girls answered with "It isn't the right time to be dating". Tiffany stated "How could we even if we wanted to?" while Taeyeon also expressed, "We know that it would be hard on ourselves, so we don't." Seohyun also added "It really isn't the right time". MC Cho Young Nam shared some words by saying, "It would be best if all of you would date and find love now because it will only get harder as you get older".
Taeyeon and Tiffany also shared another surprising story by revealing that they almost cancelled their concert duet after having a fight. Taeyeon revealed, "During our Japanese tour there was a time when Tiffany and I fought to the point where we were yelling at each other. About a week ago, it was announced that six members of Girls’ Generation will appear on SBS’ variety show “Running Man”. Fans have been anticipating the appearance of Taeyeon, Jessica, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Yoona, and Seohyun since the news was spread.
At the end of today’s episode of “Running Man”, a short preview of next week’s episode was shown. Singer Cho Young Nam has found himself in some hot water after he tried to plant a surprise kiss on SNSD‘s Taeyeon.
On September 21st, SNSD guested on the pilot episode of KBS‘s ‘Big Brothers‘. At the end of the broadcast, the girls got up to say farewell to the MC panel, and gave them all light hugs. Cho Young Nam turned his head when he got to Taeyeon, and attempted to give her a light peck. Taeyeon showed a shocked facial expression after he took her by surprise.
Angered viewers flocked to the message board and left comments like, “Why would you hug and kiss your guest? I might do something if I ever saw him,” and “Cho Young Nam needs to apologize and the producers need to clarify this matter.”
The controversy built up to such a point that SM Entertainment had to speak up on the matter. They stated, “Cho Young Nam has a daughter close to Taeyeon’s age. He says that it was a way of expressing his friendliness, just as he would with his daughter, for working so hard for the show.”

Actor Lee Dongwook garnered attention after revealing his affection for Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon.
On Septemeber 13th, Boom starred on the SBS show “Strong Heart”, where he attempted a surprise phone call to Lee Dongwook, star of the recently ended popular weekend drama “Scent of a Woman”.
When Lee Dongwook was told that all the members of Girls’ Generation were in the studio, he chose Taeyeon as his favorite member. Sunny acted as if she was Taeyeon and held a conversation with him. Lee Dongwook captured people’s attention by readily accepting Sunny’s proposal of eating together sometime.
