Girls’ Generation will be receiving Japan Best Jewellery Wearer Special Award!
Officials from Japan’s largest international jewelry trade show, International Jewelery Tokyo (IJT) stated on November 9th, “Girls’ Generation has been selected as the recipient of the 23rd Japan Best Jewellery Wearer Special Award for Female Category”. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on January 11th, 2012 which is the opening day of the 23rd International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT 2012) event which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba from January 11th to 14th next year.
This will be the 3rd time in a row that Hallyu stars were selected as the recipients of the special awards. In January last year, actor Lee ByungHun received the award while in January 2011, actor Won Bin was named the winner of the Japan Best Jewellery Wearer Special Award for Male Category.

French SONEs traveled all the way to Korea to cheer the girls on!
Recently, Girls’ Generation appeared as guests on SBS ’1000 Songs Challenge’ and during the recording session, the participants and production crews were amazed with the presence of French SONEs who were sitting in the studio to cheer for the girls.
This happened to be the first time where the recording of ’1000 Songs Challenge’ was visited by foreigners. As the fans only came to watch the girls, the crews and the guests were all impressed with Girls’ Generation’s global popularity.
Jessica and Sooyoung thanked the fans and took the opportunity to flaunt their French as well. Being able to look at the girls, smiles of joy appeared on their faces.

On this week’s M!Countdown, Girls’ Generation brought home their third win on the show’s music chart, completing a triple crown on M!Countdown with ‘The Boys’ since the release of the album on October 19th!
Also, Sooyoung became the MC again today with Tony An, where she also received the trophy for the girls’ win on M!Countdown last week.

Girls’ Generation and 2AM were picked as the female and male idols whom one wants to give his/her Pepero to on Pepero Day.
From November 2nd to 9th, a survey entitled ‘Which female idol group do you wish to give your Pepero to on Pepero Day?’ was conducted. A total of 1,712 netizens participated in the poll. Out of that total figure, 967 (56.5%) participants chose Girls’ Generation. With the overwhelming support of more than half of the total participants, the girls took the no.1 spot firmly.
Behind Girls’ Generation were 2NE1 in 2nd place with 163 votes (9.5%), Kara came in 3rd with 134 votes (7.8%), miss A in 4th with 124 votes (7.2%) and Wonder Girls took the 5th spot with 98 votes (5.7%).

SNSD's Jessica finally spoke up about the dating rumors with 2PM's Ok Taecyeon.
Jessica was a guest on MBC's "Golden Fishery - Radio Star" on November 9 along with Park Hae Mi, Tiffany, Taeyeon and Lim Tae Kyung.
During this episode, the MC's asked Jessica about the recent rumors on her dating Taecyeon. Many pictures of them together had surfaced the Internet, which caused several articles to be written, questioning their relationship.
To this Jessica replied, "Taecyeon is just a friend." She played it cool and laughed as she said, "We even said that we should meet up more comfortably now that these articles have been published." Actress Song Chaehwan’s daughter, Park Soyul, and Girls’ Generation had a beauty competition.
On November 8th, during SBS’s “Strong Heart”, Song Chaehwan guest-starred with her daughter Park Soyul. Soyul appeared on SBS’s “Star Junior Show Boonguh Bbang”, where she gained the nickname “Little Yoona” with her cute face.
Song Chaehwan explained, “I’ve wanted to meet Girls’ Generation, especially Yoona.” Following her cute self-introduction, Soyul shyly said, “I’m happy I got to meet Yoona unnie. Girls’ Generation′s Yoona has already earned a record-breaking profit of 50 billion won in the first part of 2011 alone.

On the 8th of November, Girls’ Generation made an appearance on SBS Strong Heart, and they cleared up past rumours about their diet.
Yuri said, “There seems to be a lot of rumours about Girls’ Generation. The most absurd one was that we eat 1500 calories a day, and that we only eat 8 pieces of broccoli and 1 sweet potato a meal. But in actual fact, I think we might eat 1500 calories in just one meal.”
Tiffany also surprised everyone by adding, “I think we even eat up to 3000 calories a meal. We eat so much that our manager oppas said that our food bills total up to more than that of Super Junior’s.”
After watching the show which was aired last night, Netizens have left comments such as “Of course. They don’t sleep well and have to dance and sing, they should be eating well.” and “They even eat late-night meals, that’s surprising!”
