[NEWS] SNSD TVXQ SHINee KARA & More to perform at '2011 K-Pop Music Fest in Australia,Sydney7/20/2011 Dubbed as “THE biggest event in Australian Asian Pop history”, the 2011 K-Pop Music Fest in Sydney which is scheduled for the 12th of November is set to bring in 10 of the top Idol groups from South Korea. Groups such as KARA, Secret, 2AM, SHINee, Miss A, 4Minute, TVXQ, CNBlue, B2ST and Girls’ Generation are slated to perform at the first ever all-star K-Pop concert which will be held at the Sydney ANZ Stadium.
JK Entertainment has organised this event in view of the 50th anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Ties Between Korea and Australia. The company has confirmed with SBS PopAsia that these groups will be brought into Sydney for the concert. Also, the K-Pop Music Fest will be broadcasted by Korean TV Channel, MBC. Although the concert has been confirmed, the exact date as to when tickets go on sale is yet to be announced. The pictorial includes pictures of the girls indulging in personal activities as they took a well-deserved break after the concerts. Additionally, the photos released also showed the girls at a small town about an hour away from Paris called Les Essarts-le-Roi. Apart from the official photoshoot, behind-the-scenes photos were also added to highlight each member's unique personality. Yoona and Lee Minho will both take over as the representative models for "Eider Friends" following actors Janghyuk and Chun Jungmyung. Starting this fall, the new CF models will meet consumers through the television and printed media. The new season will kick start at the end of July, and Yoona and Lee Minho will be involved in a new advertisement campaign in early August in Australia. Yoona was chosen as a model for her youthful and fresh image. Due to her popularity in countries like Japan and Europe, she was also picked for her global image, and was cited to be a good fit for the brand. The marketing team leader for the brand commented, "Last season, the brand gained immense popularity with Janghyuk and Chun Jungmyung. This time however, we would like to focus on young adults in their 20s and 30s with stylish and trendy styles. Girls’ Generation’s first Japan Arena Tour ended with grand finale in Fukuoka on the 18th. Starting from Osaka on May 31st, Girls’ Generation had held ‘Girls’ Generation Arena Tour 2011’ for 14 times in 6 cities in Japan (Saitama, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka). Even though it was their first solo concert in Japan, it drew over 140,000 audiences and proved tremendous popularity of Girls’ Generation who has captivated Asia beyond Korea. Girls’ Generation fascinated Japanese fans by presenting fantastic performances of unit stages of each members and performed around 30 songs including their Japanese single hit songs such as ‘GENIE,’ ‘Gee,’ ‘Run Devil Run’ and ‘MR.TAXI’ and their first Japanese full album tracks such as ‘Let it rain’ and ‘The great escape.’ They even performed Korean hit songs that haven’t released in Japan yet such as ‘Into the new world’ and ‘Oh!’ Moreover, although this tour was Girls’ Generation’s first tour to be held after 9months of their debut in Japan, it received an intense interest by attracting 450,000 applicants for tickets.
