Seohyun revealed a behind story about Girls’ Generation’s appearance on a French talk show.
During the recent recording of SBS ‘Strong Heart’, Seohyun said, “Girls’ Generation was the first Korean artist to have appeared on France’s popular program ‘Le Grand Journal’. Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and other Hollywood stars had also attended this program in the past and it was a great honor to have gone on the program.”
She added, “The thought of being in France as the representative of Korea was not the only joy as we were surprised and amazed to hear the audience cheering and chanting in Korean.”
Girls’ Generation made their appearance on Canal+’s ‘Le Grand Journal’, which is the no.1 talk show in France on February 9th.
Besides Seohyun, this episode of ‘Strong Heart K-pop Star’ which will be aired on February 28th also features Se7en, Park EunHye, Park KyungRim, miss A’s Min and Suzy, Kim HakChul, K.Will, Lee HyunI, etc.

In order to attract more attention from the public, LG Electronics has brought together their recently appointed models, Girls’ Generation and their original model, Won Bin, for their new Cinema 3D Smart TV CF.
In the recent CF, it showed Girls’ Generation member Jessica releasing a dove and Won Bin who is watching from his LG Cinema 3D Smart TV trying to catch the dove as it came out to him from the screen. With these effects, LG has portrayed how ‘real’ TV has become.
The product CF will be released as four different CFs. One that has already been released was with Jessica and Won Bin; others will show Yoona, Yuri, Tiffany, and one with all the members.

In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, Yuri gave chocolates as gifts to the production staff of ‘Fashion King’.
Yuri, who arrived in New York for on-location shooting on February 13th for SBS drama ‘Fashion King’ which is expected to be aired in March this year, gave some chocolates with a card containing the support message, “For our family members who have always been working hard, have something sweet and fighting” to the production staff as a Valentine’s Day gift.

It looks like Sooyoung’s debut as a main lead in a drama will be put on hold for a while.
Sooyoung will not be taking up the role of the main female lead for TV Joseon’s drama ‘Speed’. A representative of SM Entertainment said, “It has been finally decided that Sooyoung will not be appearing in ‘Speed’. While focusing on Girls’ Generation’s activities for the time being, we will be on the look out for other work and productions for her.”
When the news of Sooyoung being offered the role as the female lead for ‘Speed’ first broke out in November last year, there were positive reviews regarding her appearance in the drama. However, Girls’ Generation had a packed overseas schedule and the production process of ‘Speed’, which was initially planned to kick off its filming back in December last year, was hit with some difficult, unavoidable circumstances.
A broadcasting official stated, “It seems that the contracts with the actors approached for the drama are still pending. Thus, the casting process has yet to be completed and to date, the shooting of the drama has not started. Because of this, Sooyoung’s agency seems to have made the decision to not cast her in the drama.”
Sooyoung showed her potential in acting when she appeared on KBS 2TV’s 2008 sitcom ‘Unstoppable Marriage’ and the movie ‘Hello, Schoolgirl’.

After performing on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last night, Girls’ Generation continued their New York promotions today with a performance of “The Boys” on “Live! with Kelly”. They performed a shortened version of “The Boys”, complete with stunning outfits, powerful vocals, and a perfectly polished choreography. Host Kelly Ripa and guest host Howie Mandel also took the time to have a short talk with the members of Girls’ Generation, and mentioned that they were surprised by the fanchants and screams by the fans in attendance. Kelly Ripa even remarked, “I’ve never seen such audience participation in my life.” Girls’ Generation also showed the two hosts how to perform a move from the choreography of “The Boys”, and briefly discussed the audition process, as well as Jessica and Tiffany’s level of English fluency. Jessica met up with her pre-debut vocal trainer, Kim JoHan once again.
During the recording of JTBC’s ‘Girls’ Generation and Dangerous Boys’ which will be aired on January 29th, Girls’ Generation carried out the outdoor classes prepared for their mentees.
For the sake of her student, Goo JiSoo who aspires to be a singer, Jessica had arranged a meeting with Kim JoHan to conduct a vocal test for JiSoo. As soon as Jessica met Kim JoHan, she gave her teacher a warm hug, showing their close friendship and expressing her pleasure to see him once again. Jessica then introduced Kim JoHan, who was also Taeyeon’s vocal trainer, to JiSoo.
In front of Kim JoHan, JiSoo performed Lee Juk’s ‘I’m So Fortunate’ and received some comments and tips from the talented singer. Judging by JiSoo’s singing ability, Kim JoHan believes that JiSoo has the potential to be a singer.
To determine JiSoo’s vocal range, a vocalization test was conducted. As the test progressed, JiSoo who could not hit the high note stopped abruptly. Girls’ Generation ended their first solo concert in Hong Kong with great success.
‘2012 GIRLS’ GENERATION TOUR in HONGKONG’ was held at Asia World-Arena on the 15th at 8:00 p.m. and Girls’ Generation fascinated the audiences with fantastic performances.
Especially, even though it was late at night when Girls’ Generation arrived at Hong Kong International Airport on the 14th, many fans gathered at the airport to see Girls’ Generation.
