On February 29th, J.Estina has announced that a fan signing event with Girls’ Generation will be held on March 11th at the AK Departmental Store in Suwon.
Customers who have made purchases of more than 100,000 won from February 23rd to March 5th stand a chance to attend the fan signing event. The announcement of the lucky winners will be made online on March 9th.
After appointing Girls’ Generation as their advertisement models, J.Estina had since named its products after the girls – ‘Jessica’s earrings’, ‘YoonA’s Angelica Bag’, ‘Tiffany’s earrings’, etc and the brand enjoyed a consistent upward trend in sales. The pre-ordering process of J.Estina’s upcoming products is currently in progress.

Seohyun revealed a behind story about Girls’ Generation’s appearance on a French talk show.
During the recent recording of SBS ‘Strong Heart’, Seohyun said, “Girls’ Generation was the first Korean artist to have appeared on France’s popular program ‘Le Grand Journal’. Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and other Hollywood stars had also attended this program in the past and it was a great honor to have gone on the program.”
She added, “The thought of being in France as the representative of Korea was not the only joy as we were surprised and amazed to hear the audience cheering and chanting in Korean.”

In order to attract more attention from the public, LG Electronics has brought together their recently appointed models, Girls’ Generation and their original model, Won Bin, for their new Cinema 3D Smart TV CF.
In the recent CF, it showed Girls’ Generation member Jessica releasing a dove and Won Bin who is watching from his LG Cinema 3D Smart TV trying to catch the dove as it came out to him from the screen. With these effects, LG has portrayed how ‘real’ TV has become.
The product CF will be released as four different CFs. One that has already been released was with Jessica and Won Bin; others will show Yoona, Yuri, Tiffany, and one with all the members.
A representative from LG Electronics commented, “By using the number 1 image of the group Girls’ Generation, who is leading the Hallyu Wave, and popular actor Won Bin, we wanted to upgrade our image to show that our product ‘LG Cinema 3D Smart TV’ could also be the number 1 of smart electronics.” He continued saying, “With the image and status of the models, we can create a synergy effect along with our brand. Japan’s ‘Sanspo’ and ‘CD Journal’ reported, “Movie actor and comedian Imada Kouji will be featured in the music video of Girls’ Generation’s new Japanese song ‘Time Machine’.
‘Time Machine’, a ballad included in ‘Repackage: Girls’ Generation~The Boys’ album, has been selected as the CM song for the new CF of ‘e-ma throat candy’ which will be aired throughout Japan starting February 25th. Upon the decision of the music video production, Imada Kouji who proclaimed himself as a fan of Girls’ Generation was offered to make an appearance in the music video and he was ever ready to accept the offer.
Local media stated, “Imada Kouji was self-motivated throughout the shoot and he acted the role of a person who cried while recalling his unforgettable past really well.”

Girls’ Generation has been named Korea’s top ‘Power Celebrity’ for the second consecutive year.
In celebration of Forbes Korea’s 9th anniversary of founding, the result of the ‘Korea’s Power Celebrity 40′ was announced. Out of more than 100 famous figures in Korea, Forbes Korea announced the top 40 celebrities who are shortlisted based on income, influence, reputation and expertise. The benchmark for selection is similar to US Forbes ‘Celebrity 100′.
Girls’ Generation who topped the celebrity survey last year has obtained 1st and 2nd spot in the main selection criteria such as number of published articles, TV advertisements and broadcast activities. Last year alone, Girls’ Generations have participated in a total of 36 TV commercials. Their 3rd album ‘The Boys’ which was released in October last year had recorded sales of more than 380,000 copies.
The spotlight of this year’s result is the inclusion of many Kpop idols within the top 20 spots where 10 spots were occupied by them. Besides Girls’ Generation who took the top spot, other Kpop stars included in the top 20 spots are Big Bang, IU, Kara, Beast, 2PM, JYJ, TVXQ, Super Junior and T-ara.
